After a private beach wedding on Boracay Island in the Philippines, Malaysian pop star Fish Leong and her Taiwanese husband, Tony Zhao, decided to share their happily-ever-after love story with close friends and select media group by hosting a wedding banquet in Kuala Lumpur on Friday night.

Held at the luxurious Ritz Carlton hotel in Jalan Bukit Bintang, it was truly a romantic affair to remember.

Among Fish's celebrity friends that turned up to offer their blessings were Michael Wong, Ah Gu Tan, Nicholas Teo and Z Chen (who is Fish's cousin, by the way).
Also spotted was the Taiwan-based singer's long-time manager and close pal, Ng Siang Siang, who told The Daily Chilli that she was happy beyond words. "Fish is an old-fashioned girl. She's always wanted to get married and have a family."

Now back to the show.

Kissing his blushing bride in front of 210 guests, Tony said, "Thank you wifey, for loving me."

The couple also previewed the video of their secret nuptials, which saw Tony crying profusely on his wedding day. "I just couldn't help it. I was so grateful and touched that there is actually someone (as famous as Fish) who could love me so deeply."

On what he loves most about her, the wine expert told The Daily Chilli in a joint-interview with Sin Chew Daily that "Fish is an excellent cook. She's totally domesticated. The man who gets to marry her is lucky 'coz she has the complete package."

But it wasn't love at first sight. When both were first introduced to each other by Fish's record label owner (Chen Yong Zhi) in Taipei a few years ago, Tony told himself, "So what if she's wife material? It's none of my business."

When teased whether she's pregnant or not, Fish turned red, saying "Are you sot (crazy in Cantonese)? I'm not pregnant. But thanks for your well wishes."

Neither she nor Tony was willing to disclose how much they had spent on their wedding reception, but a source inside Ritz Carlton told us good food and wine alone cost RM100,000. "That doesn't include their honeymoon suite and rooms for families from both sides," said the informant.

The yam seng party ended around midnight.
